Overview
Chat is ALK’s AI-powered question and answer interface. It lets you search for answers across your connected sources and uploaded documents by typing natural language questions.Capabilities of Chat
- Chat queries information from your connected sources and uploaded documents.
- It does not search the web. Web Search is currently disabled.
- It also does not yet carry conversation context between sessions, though this feature is in development.
Getting started with Chat
1
Ask a question
From the ALK home screen, type your question into the search bar that reads “Search for answers across your connected sources” and press Enter.
2
Choose your sources
Click + Sources beneath the search bar to select which sources Chat should query. Available sources are:
- Microsoft OneDrive — documents stored in your OneDrive
- Mono — connected bank account data
- Acumatica — connected GL and ERP data
- Google Drive — documents stored in your Google Drive
- File Uploads — documents you have uploaded directly to ALK
3
Review your conversation history
For quick access to your previous conversations with ALK, look below the sources text — your previous conversations will be housed here. If no conversations have been started yet, the panel will show “No conversation history yet.”
Important notes
- Web Search is currently disabled. Chat can only query information from your connected sources and uploaded documents. It cannot retrieve information from the internet.
- Conversation context is currently being worked on. Each session starts fresh. Chat does not remember previous conversations.
- ALK can make mistakes. Always verify important information from the original source documents.
