Common questions from ALK clients and partners. Updated as new questions come in.

General

Q: What is ALK? ALK is Wamiri’s intelligent operations platform for emerging and high-growth markets. It helps teams automate and streamline mission-critical work using AI, including document intelligence, analysis, and workflow automation. Q: Who is ALK designed for? ALK is designed for finance teams, operations leads, and IT managers. Common use cases include equity mortgage, pensions, private equity, and other document-heavy operational workflows. Q: What do I need to get started? You need an active ALK account. The first person from your organisation to sign up becomes the Entity Owner and can invite others.

Access & roles

Q: I cannot access a feature. What should I do? Confirm your role with your Workspace Admin. Some features require Workspace Admin access (or higher). See Understanding Roles & Access for details. Q: Can someone outside our organisation be invited as a Viewer? It depends on whether external email addresses are enabled for your entity. Contact support@wamiri.com to confirm. Q: What happens if I remove someone from a workspace? They lose access immediately, but content they created or shared in the workspace remains. Removing someone from a workspace does not delete their organisation account.

Reconciliation

Q: What file formats are accepted for manual upload? This is being confirmed with Engineering. In the meantime, contact support@wamiri.com and include the file type you want to upload. Q: Can I run reconciliation without Acumatica connected? Yes. Use the manual upload flow to upload your bank statement and GL export as files. See Step-by-Step Guide — How to Run a Reconciliation. Q: Why are some transactions not matching? Check Advanced Matching Options. Settings like Fuzzy Matching, Date Tolerance, and Amount Tolerance may need adjusting based on how your data is formatted.

Integrations

Q: What integrations are available? ALK currently supports Mono, Acumatica, Xero, QuickBooks, Stripe, Flutterwave, Paystack, Google Sheets, ClickHouse, Microsoft OneDrive, Microsoft SharePoint, Google Drive, Notion, Gmail, Outlook, Odoo, WhatsApp, and file uploads. See Integrations Overview for what each one is used for. If you do not see an integration you expect, contact support@wamiri.com. Q: My Acumatica connection stopped working. What do I do? First, check whether your Acumatica Client Secret has expired. If it has, generate a new one in Acumatica and reconnect in ALK. See Getting Started — How to Connect Acumatica to ALK. Q: Can I still use Acumatica with Pulse? Acumatica is no longer available as a Pulse widget source — Pulse widgets currently pull from Mono only. Acumatica connections still work for reconciliation and as a Knowledge source.

Workflows & extraction review

Q: What does “Reject” do in Block Review? Rejecting a field marks it as incorrect without deleting it — the field is flagged with a “Rejected” status so reviewers know not to rely on it. This is different from editing a field, which overwrites the value. Q: What’s the difference between “Verified” and “Edited” statuses? Verified means a reviewer confirmed the extracted value is correct. Edited means a reviewer manually changed the value. If you un-verify a field, it returns to “Edited” if it was ever hand-corrected, or back to its original extracted state otherwise. Q: I accidentally clicked Verify — how do I undo it? Click the same verify control again to un-verify the field. See Setting Up a Workflow.

Onboarding tour

Q: Can I replay the onboarding tour? Yes. Look for the replay option in Settings, or contact support@wamiri.com if you can’t find it.
